LIZZI AKANA
Lizzi Akana is an award winning director, animator, and designer. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005, she's cultivated a diverse portfolio as a freelance artist in the field of animation. Working in television, advertising, feature film, music videos, and illustrative design, Lizzi has collaborated with many of the top studios in New York City and Los Angeles.
Since 2019, Lizzi has also been serving as an instructor in the Illustration Department at RISD. She currently teaches “Cinematic Storytelling”, a course about the art of storyboarding, during the Spring semester.
